Cosplay Chamber

 Hi everyone! I've been working on something in silence for a while and would love to finally share here! (Been very silent even on my social media..) Summer convention season is getting closer, so it's now or never to start making costumes! The first one for this Summer for me is Briar Rose, or Aurora from Sleeping Beauty! Yes! My first Disney cosplay!  There are many reasons for this character specifically, the original idea came while playing Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. Always wanted to cosplay a Disney princess at some point so I raided my fabric stash and surprise surprise! I have something I can finally put to use. Also Don calls me "Prinsessa Ruusunen" (finnish version of Sleeping Beauty) since I'm a heavy sleeper and always tired, so there's that too.  Hi everyone! Hypecon is this weekend already! We didn't get lucky with Desucon tickets (not that I mind, I have work that weekend anyway), so June is pretty empty con-wise. Don is on his Summer vacation and Hypecon weekend happens to be off for me, so we decided to go check it out. The theme is "Dreams", so I think this cosplay works perfectly. All the fabrics are from my stash/recycled cosplay parts, so I didn't need to buy anything new! :3  Can't wait for Hypecon! I've heard so many good things about it.  Hi everyone! Kemin Mangapäivät made a comeback this year, which was more than welcome! This was also the first time I judged a cosplay competition! :3 Mangapäivä was held 8th of March at Kemin Kulttuurikeskus. I know I'm late for this Summary and I don't remember much at this point, but you can read more comperehensive summaries from Firith's blog and Shiro Samurai's blog . Event flayers I woke up somewhat early since I agreed to pick up a friend from Tornio before heading to Kulttuurikeskus. I was little tired, but still decided to cosplay Fern from Frieren, which was a good choice for the amount of walking/running around I did.  Hi everyone! Kicking this year off with a comfy cosplay project from one of my favorite animes! :D I love a simple cosplay I can just throw on and chill when feeling overwhelmed. Fern from Frieren is perfect for that. Here she is! :3 I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I found this anime through TikTok. I showed a clip of it to my boyfriend, whom of course, has read some of the manga before the anime came out. I should've known better. We still watched it together and really loved it. It's beautiful story about saying good bye, a sad and difficult, but also necesssary lesson to learn. I really want to cosplay the main protagonist, Frieren at some point, but for now Fern would be easier as her outfit is a breeze to put together, I also have a pair of purple lenses lying around waiting for use (that weren't as good as I thought).  Hi everyone! Desucon Frostbite was held 24.-26.1 in Lahti as always. The competition for tickets was tight and we didn't get those in the initial ticket sale. Luck was on our side with the cancellation ticket sale though and Don getting the Friday off. Our trip started on Thursday evening by train, my brother was nice enough to not only drive us to train station, but also look after our daughter (cat). Biggest thanks to him! Dundundunnn The ticket exchange started at 15.00 and Sibeliustalo opened its doors at 17.00(?), so we basically had the whole day to chill. Before I put myself in cosplay costume, we walked around the city first. I don't think we've ever gotten a chance to take a proper look around Lahti before and now I even learned how to use public transport! :'D We barely have public transport where I live, so this was very new to me!
