Kemin Mangapäivät 2025 Summary!

 Hi everyone!

Kemin Mangapäivät made a comeback this year, which was more than welcome! This was also the first time I judged a cosplay competition! :3 Mangapäivä was held 8th of March at Kemin Kulttuurikeskus. I know I'm late for this Summary and I don't remember much at this point, but you can read more comperehensive summaries from Firith's blog and Shiro Samurai's blog.


Event flayers

I woke up somewhat early since I agreed to pick up a friend from Tornio before heading to Kulttuurikeskus. I was little tired, but still decided to cosplay Fern from Frieren, which was a good choice for the amount of walking/running around I did.

Pallopää

The day was busy and all I can remember is running around and following Firith, waiting for orders and overall trying to help as much as I could. Don accompanied me in the morning/early day, but mostly he was chilling around and supporting artist's by buying prints and other cool stuff. :'3 He also had a Naruto-themed pastry and coffee.

I was a little nervous about the cosplay competition's judging, but it went smoothly, though the decision was tough. I'm still very thankful for all the competetors and really hope to see them on stage again! ^^

The judging room was sooo spacious! So much room for all kinds of costumes!

This Summary has been a "nothing" summary and I only remember bits and pieces, but overall I had fun in this event and wouldn't mind working there again (as long as I can have a glass of wine after!). :3 Thanks to everyone, organizers, competetors and congoers! We need more events like this up here! 

I don't know how end this so have this! I should cosplay Yor :'D

Nekocon 2025 Summary!

 Hi everyone! Nekocon was held 19.-20.7 in Kuopion Musiikkitalo as usual. Cosplay plans gave me a headache and I kinda sorta gave up on that. The heatwave was unbearable and working on any of my projects was out of the question, I just didn't have the energy to do anything. Needless to say the heatwave followed to the con as well.  Our trip to Kuopio started on Friday when me and Don got off work. Don's step father was nice enough to lend us a car with full tank and all (and a working AC). Nekocon ticket I bought us the anime concert/convention ticket combo. The Anime concert was performed by Kuopion Kaupungin Orkesteri with the legendary Atso Salmila as conductor. The first anime symphony concert in Finland was in 2012 Animecon, Kuopio, or this is what this yle article said. Matsucon cosplay lineup!

 Hi everyone! Matsucon is this weekend already and I haven't written about Nekocon yet! Yes, I did go, just didn't post cosplay lineup since nothing seemed good. It's been so hot and humid it's been difficult to even think. Good thing it's over for a little while, so have my cosplay lineup for Matsucon! Saturday Aurora - Sleeping Beauty This costume might be little too hot, but I really wanna wear her again! I felt so pretty cosplaying her last time and that feeling is needed right now. ❤ Sunday Kanae Kocho - Demon Slayer: Kimetsu Academy Easy cosplay! I have fitting clothes in my closet and it was fun to craft those little butterflies! :3 There is a chance I might just be in casual clothes, but we'll see how I feel. This lineup post definitely came out late, but oh well. Don is not going to accompany me this time, but I will visit the con with my brother on Saturday, so I'm not completely alone. Can't wait to go!

Hypecon 2025 Summary!

 Hi everyone! Hypecon was held last weekend (7.-8-6) at Hyvinkää. I've never been to Hypecon before and Don is on Summer vacation, we decided to check it out, since I also had that weekend off. We left on Friday afternoon once I got off of work (I might have sneaked out a little earlier~) and my brother looked after our home and cat and drove us to and from the train station, biggest thanks to him! My cat wanted to come with I guess. :'D I cosplayed Aurora from Sleeping Beauty on Saturday, which fit very well the theme "Dreams". I didn't practice makeup at all prior, but I had a rough idea what I wanted it to look like and I think I did pretty ok! :3 Felt cute! The con was held in Hyvinkään Kaupungintalo plus some surrounding buildings. The outside area was huge and had some very pretty parks nearby.
