Lady in red dress

Hello cosplayers!

The Holidays are over and it's time to start working again. I have another internship to go through, let's hope I do well. During my vacation I fucked up my sleeping schedule and just couldn't sleep at all until morning. Since I couldn't get any sleep I decided to work on something to keep my mind occupied, not today anxiety and paranoia! Since I was going to work on Ada Wong from RE4 I decided to actually get started and styled the wig. I had this Rukia Kuchiki (Bleach) wig lying around without any purpose, I decided to cut and style her. 

Here's the wig, I don't think this has been cut or styled at all. 

Once I set everything I started to search for reference pics from RE4's Ada and take consideration other games versions of her too. Her hairstyle doesn't change too much except for length differences.

...and this was my setup. A makeshift wig stand. I used my beanie and filled it with scarfs and other pieces of fabric I could find. Then shoved it to my water bottle. It was a little unstable and funky, but it did the job. :) Now this wig was very thick when I started cutting. Basically that mullet had to go and I had to make it way thinner so it would look little more natural. It took me about two hours and when I tried it on my own head I had to do some adjustments on the bangs and sides. All the work was very worth it though cuz I'm happy with the result...



 Kind of reminds me of my own hair really, but in cosplay I do prefer wigs. Just gives that little extra to the costume. Tomorrow I'll start patterning the dress! Thank you for reading and stay tuned :)

    Uuh yeah, looks good! I prefer wigs too although with some realistic hairstyles that require lacefronts etc it feels like it's stupidly hard to find something that looks good enough sometimes lmao.

      Thank you! 8) And yeah I agree. I feel especially with realistic looking characters with very natural hair color to be a pain in the ass to find a wig. Big oof.

Nekocon 2023 Summary!

 Hi everynyan! :3 I attended Nekocon this year for the first time ever! :D It was held in a familiar place though, this being Musiikkikeskus (+Lumit) in Kuopio (15.-16.7.2023). Last time I set my foot there was Animecon way back when. This years theme in Nekocon was nostalgia, which was very fitting in so many ways. Walking around the con area was a trip down to memory lane. My journey to Kuopio started on Friday, traveling with my bf Dongrieg  once again. We woke up pretty early and started our 5-ish hour drive. She's safe and sound :3 On arrival we had a few hours to kill before we could get con tickets and set ourselves in mattress accommodation the convention provided for a small price. It was very nice and cool of them to arrange it this way. Martial Arts Master

Hi everyone! Today we'll be working on THE iconic fighting game queen Chun Li from Street Fighter 6! Out of all the fighting games, Tekken is definitely closer to my heart actually. I played Street Fighter a little, but sucked at it so bad! :'D I still do, but I do enjoy the characters a lot and the story. The cut was a little all over the place, so I was comfortable trying something I've never tried before.. Which is making a normal wig into a twintail wig aka making a middle part in the back! Desucon 2023 Summary~

Hi everyone! Desucon was held 16.-18.6 this year once again in Sibeliustalo. I got lucky and got the tickets. They sold out super quickly again, but this happens. The capacity is somewhere around 2900-3000 and this community has only grown ever since the pandemic. I tried to think of solutions to make ticket sales easier, but didn't come up with anything. Sure, Desucon could hold one more con, but they have already stated on their website that they are not going to do that since people have lives outside of all this. Honestly understandable, but next June there'll be another con I could try attend if I can't get desu-tickets. 👀 There it is~☆ Me and my boyfriend, whom we'll call Dongrieg , took a train early in the morning and headed to Lahti on Friday, so we would arrive somewhere after noon.
