Matsucon 2023 cosplay lineup!

It's almost Halloween and Matsucon is held just before that. The con is held in 28.-29.10, Oulu, so not too far from home either. It has been a few years since I attended Matsucon last time, so I'm pretty excited to go. :) Things have been quite shitty with personal life, so I hope this weekend could bring some joy to these dark times. Anyway, here are my cosplans 🠊

Fire Keeper - Dark Souls 3

For the halloween theme I wanted to go with something dark/spoopy and I've had Fire Keeper's cosplay pieces and wig lying around for many years now, so it was time to finish that costume and take her outside. I will also take part in the cosplay parade with this cosplay, so I'm quite excited and nervous about that. The parade is basically like your regular cosplay competition, except there's more winners. Usually there's the best 3 competitors, but in cosplay parade there's also other categories like best wig, best accessory/prop etc. Last time I took part in a competition was in 2013? Long time ago basically. Also I've never competed solo, so that's a first. Wish me luck :D I will do a making of-post of Fire Keeper later! :3

Makima - Chainsaw Man

Yeah, it's her time to shine again. For Sunday I was contemplating going casual, but I wasn't sure what to wear lol. Makima is super comfy and I have lenses for her too. Though I'm not completely happy with my wig color, oh well! :'D I'm so obsessed with her still ❤ Also I talked my partner to be Denji for me :3 He's the one that got me into the series, so he has to share the brainrot with me.

Sooo yeah, this is my lineup! I'm also attending K-18 after party, but since I'll be drinking, I don't want to be in full cosplay. I was considering throwing together a modern/casual version of Fire Keeper, but I don't know. We'll see. ^^

Nekocon 2023 Summary!

 Hi everynyan! :3 I attended Nekocon this year for the first time ever! :D It was held in a familiar place though, this being Musiikkikeskus (+Lumit) in Kuopio (15.-16.7.2023). Last time I set my foot there was Animecon way back when. This years theme in Nekocon was nostalgia, which was very fitting in so many ways. Walking around the con area was a trip down to memory lane. My journey to Kuopio started on Friday, traveling with my bf Dongrieg  once again. We woke up pretty early and started our 5-ish hour drive. She's safe and sound :3 On arrival we had a few hours to kill before we could get con tickets and set ourselves in mattress accommodation the convention provided for a small price. It was very nice and cool of them to arrange it this way. Traveling, getting tickets, settling sleeping arrangements and getting into cosplay all at the first day of con is very overwhelming experience, so being able to do some things a day earlier makes things easier. Martial Arts Master

Hi everyone! Today we'll be working on THE iconic fighting game queen Chun Li from Street Fighter 6! Out of all the fighting games, Tekken is definitely closer to my heart actually. I played Street Fighter a little, but sucked at it so bad! :'D I still do, but I do enjoy the characters a lot and the story. Chun Li was also the first female character in fighting game genre! :3 Iconic queen with the thiccest thighs I'm obsessed with her fr. She has matured a lot, but I'll always remember her like this ❤ We will be starting from the wig. I have this super old dark brown wig from an acquaintance of mine. The cut was a little all over the place, so I was comfortable trying something I've never tried before.. Which is making a normal wig into a twintail wig aka making a middle part in the back! You know how you really can't part a normal wig without any mesh/wefts showing? We're covering that here. Ewwwwwww I parted the wig how I wanted and pinned down wefts. The

Desucon 2023 Summary~

Hi everyone! Desucon was held 16.-18.6 this year once again in Sibeliustalo. I got lucky and got the tickets. They sold out super quickly again, but this happens. The capacity is somewhere around 2900-3000 and this community has only grown ever since the pandemic. I tried to think of solutions to make ticket sales easier, but didn't come up with anything. Sure, Desucon could hold one more con, but they have already stated on their website that they are not going to do that since people have lives outside of all this. Honestly understandable, but next June there'll be another con I could try attend if I can't get desu-tickets. 👀 There it is~☆ Me and my boyfriend, whom we'll call Dongrieg , took a train early in the morning and headed to Lahti on Friday, so we would arrive somewhere after noon.
