Guildmarm/Sophia WIP 2

 Hello!

I finally continued with our favorite guildmarm again! This time we're making pants, shoes, blouse and cuffs! I also restyled the wig and didn't shove it in a bag again. Instead it's going to keep it on a wigstand until the costume is retired or I want to wash my wig. Also I fixed the closing hook on the jacket so it stays closed now and doesn't open whenever it feels like it lol.

Starting from the pants! I didn't find any grey fabric with white stripes, so I sewed on some stripes from white fabric. I haven't sewn pants much, I can recall making a pair once maybe, so it was definitely exciting process. I used a regular pants-pattern and just modified it.

The white detail on the pant leg is made out of white felt fabric and the red stitches are strips of red faux leather.

Shoes are actually Linkle's old shoes that I modified. I was very happy with them when I first made them, but I ended up taking the seams a little more in, since the shoes weren't snug enough on my leg. Also used better glue this time, so the cover stay on the base shoes better. The glue I used was Bison contact glue. btw. I added the red string, wrapped it around my shoes while wearing them, pinned the string from some parts and sewed it on with just a few stitches. And so they are done!

The result isn't as clean as I would like, but for my first functioning bootcovers, they get the job done for now.

Nothing much to say about the green cuffs. Pretty much just used the cuff patterns I had for the white undershirt, only made it longer. I hate making buttonholes so I just added velcro for closing, lol.



White blouse! I used an existing pattern (a basic blouse), just added ruffles to it. I though about adding all the little ebroidery-detail-thingys to it, but they aren't going to be visible anyway, I decided not to. Maybe later.

I'm almost done with her! Next time I'll be working on the big red belt, froggie bag and some doing some finishing touches. Hopefully I'll also get some photos taken! ^_^ See ya later!❤

Nekocon 2023 Summary!

 Hi everynyan! :3 I attended Nekocon this year for the first time ever! :D It was held in a familiar place though, this being Musiikkikeskus (+Lumit) in Kuopio (15.-16.7.2023). Last time I set my foot there was Animecon way back when. This years theme in Nekocon was nostalgia, which was very fitting in so many ways. Walking around the con area was a trip down to memory lane. My journey to Kuopio started on Friday, traveling with my bf Dongrieg  once again. We woke up pretty early and started our 5-ish hour drive. She's safe and sound :3 On arrival we had a few hours to kill before we could get con tickets and set ourselves in mattress accommodation the convention provided for a small price. It was very nice and cool of them to arrange it this way. Traveling, getting tickets, settling sleeping arrangements and getting into cosplay all at the first day of con is very overwhelming experience, so being able to do some things a day earlier makes things easier. Martial Arts Master

Hi everyone! Today we'll be working on THE iconic fighting game queen Chun Li from Street Fighter 6! Out of all the fighting games, Tekken is definitely closer to my heart actually. I played Street Fighter a little, but sucked at it so bad! :'D I still do, but I do enjoy the characters a lot and the story. Chun Li was also the first female character in fighting game genre! :3 Iconic queen with the thiccest thighs I'm obsessed with her fr. She has matured a lot, but I'll always remember her like this ❤ We will be starting from the wig. I have this super old dark brown wig from an acquaintance of mine. The cut was a little all over the place, so I was comfortable trying something I've never tried before.. Which is making a normal wig into a twintail wig aka making a middle part in the back! Desucon 2023 Summary~

Hi everyone! Desucon was held 16.-18.6 this year once again in Sibeliustalo. I got lucky and got the tickets. They sold out super quickly again, but this happens. The capacity is somewhere around 2900-3000 and this community has only grown ever since the pandemic. I tried to think of solutions to make ticket sales easier, but didn't come up with anything. Sure, Desucon could hold one more con, but they have already stated on their website that they are not going to do that since people have lives outside of all this. Honestly understandable, but next June there'll be another con I could try attend if I can't get desu-tickets. 👀 There it is~☆ Me and my boyfriend, whom we'll call Dongrieg , took a train early in the morning and headed to Lahti on Friday, so we would arrive somewhere after noon.
