"Are you going to be some kind of a nun?" Volta cosplay

Hey everyone!

Just today when I back home from school I started working on Volta from The Arcana Game! I showed a picture of her to my mother and she asked if I was going to dress up as a nun, I thought it was kind of funny, but totally understand why. :'D I love that smol bean and yeah I know that she with the rest of the courtiers are villains, but Volta is so adorable in a creepy way. I was hoping to get this cosplay done for Halloween. I would love to photoshoot her! :3 But we'll see.

So I started from the headgear, that I thought was like a nun's cornette. Probably not the most traditional thing, but close enough? Correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway, that's where I started. No progress pics, but at least the end result, sorry about that!

A scarf thingy you just tie to the back. Quite simple, there will be a second part that comes under this.

I also couldn't resist a makeup test so I grabbed one of my orange wigs and went for it! I might get another wig for the actual cosplay. I'm not sure, I think this works too, but Voltas hair is on the longer side. Then again under the headgear it won't be seen really, unless I'm going to go without it... I'll think about it...




Honestly I think my red lenses (Vassen Color Super Pinky Wine Red) are perfect, though I'm going to need one white mesh lens for the other eye.  The makeup itself is ok, but it could be cleaner and contour should be a tad bit stronger. 

This is it for now. Wish me luck with this one. I would really love a halloween photoshoot with this one! <3

    Well she isn't a nun, but yeah, the design is a little confusing xD
    I'm excited about this too, I love me some creepy characters ;)

Nekocon 2023 Summary!

 Hi everynyan! :3 I attended Nekocon this year for the first time ever! :D It was held in a familiar place though, this being Musiikkikeskus (+Lumit) in Kuopio (15.-16.7.2023). Last time I set my foot there was Animecon way back when. This years theme in Nekocon was nostalgia, which was very fitting in so many ways. Walking around the con area was a trip down to memory lane. My journey to Kuopio started on Friday, traveling with my bf Dongrieg  once again. We woke up pretty early and started our 5-ish hour drive. She's safe and sound :3 On arrival we had a few hours to kill before we could get con tickets and set ourselves in mattress accommodation the convention provided for a small price. It was very nice and cool of them to arrange it this way. Traveling, getting tickets, settling sleeping arrangements and getting into cosplay all at the first day of con is very overwhelming experience, so being able to do some things a day earlier makes things easier. Martial Arts Master

Hi everyone! Today we'll be working on THE iconic fighting game queen Chun Li from Street Fighter 6! Out of all the fighting games, Tekken is definitely closer to my heart actually. I played Street Fighter a little, but sucked at it so bad! :'D I still do, but I do enjoy the characters a lot and the story. Chun Li was also the first female character in fighting game genre! :3 Iconic queen with the thiccest thighs I'm obsessed with her fr. She has matured a lot, but I'll always remember her like this ❤ We will be starting from the wig. I have this super old dark brown wig from an acquaintance of mine. The cut was a little all over the place, so I was comfortable trying something I've never tried before.. Which is making a normal wig into a twintail wig aka making a middle part in the back! Desucon 2023 Summary~

Hi everyone! Desucon was held 16.-18.6 this year once again in Sibeliustalo. I got lucky and got the tickets. They sold out super quickly again, but this happens. The capacity is somewhere around 2900-3000 and this community has only grown ever since the pandemic. I tried to think of solutions to make ticket sales easier, but didn't come up with anything. Sure, Desucon could hold one more con, but they have already stated on their website that they are not going to do that since people have lives outside of all this. Honestly understandable, but next June there'll be another con I could try attend if I can't get desu-tickets. 👀 There it is~☆ Me and my boyfriend, whom we'll call Dongrieg , took a train early in the morning and headed to Lahti on Friday, so we would arrive somewhere after noon.
