Cucco Farmer part 2! (+ cats)
Hewwo uwu
Big cosplay-making hours. I'm currently at my mother in laws house, looking after her animals, so I don't have access to everything I'll need for costume making. I made the cute skirt, necklace/choker, started on bootcovers, the armor parts on them and cut the wig.
Showing the skirt. Sorry for re-using the same image from last post uwu
...Tirppa...
Let's begin from the skirt. It's basically like any other skirt, except I measured the folds to that front part where the eyelets and laces go. I added a zipper to the back. I'm sorry for the lack of pics, I simply forgot to take them, but here's some.
Folded and wrinkly, I apologize ^^'' I promise I will Iron the skirt.
The result, again, sorry for not ironing, I'm too shy to use my in laws stuff too much...
Also I am aware of the lace being wrong color and I am going to get new ones later.
I don't have that much to say about making the skirt. Just some issues with measuring, making the skirt too wide and too long, I had to re-adjust the measures a few times and it was mildly infuriating, but I wanted it to sit nicely instead of it just slithering off.
Hi unflattering image, but I'm happy. Just iron the skirt and get better laces
Next is the necklace!
Soooo I started by making the choker from dark brown fabric, sewed it, added velcro tape to connect the ends. For the stone I had fimo and these jewellery making metallic thingies that I could stick through the "stone" and make the ring that's on the actual choker.
Choker without the stone and the cute fox shirt. ^^
Stone after baking it.
After sanding and attached to the choker.
After painting and sealed. I haven't done too much of jewels and smaller details for a cosplay before, but this time will be different!
Then the wig. I had this straight blonde bob cut wig laying around. I remember buying it for some cosplay I can't remember anymore and am probably not even interested in making. Nothing much to say about the cutting process. I used my bf as a wig stand, parted the sides for braids and cut the back short.
I think it turned out 'aight
Nevermind my own hair showing a bit, I'm not wearing a wig cap.
Also! Have a pic of the elf ears I bought last year for this particular cosplay!
I guess I bought these from ebay for like 1-2€, so yeah, cheap.
Because I'm wearing a wig that has stuff on the sides to cover my own ears, the elf ears are ok in my opinion.
Sooo yeah, I think the ears are fine since the braids cover my own ear quite well. They also stay on surprisingly well. I was a bit shook by that. For a cheap price these bad boys are doing a good job!
And now to the part where every cat owning cosplayer can relate to...
I present to you... Nappe....
...Tirppa...
....Misu and...
His Majesty... Jessi!
There you have it for now!
Smell ya later!
Looks good so far - can't wait to see the full cosplay! <3
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, cats... Think they're helping with the costume making but it's the opposite xD But well, they're cute. <3
Thanks fren! I'm having great time working on this <3
DeleteCats may not help making progress with cosplay, but at least they are good company <3
Looks great so far! Nice to see how it's coming along!
ReplyDeleteAlso, cats. x) I swear I'm hesitant to have my cosplays even remotely near Fili cuz omfg so much hair gets everywhere in seconds. xD
Thank youuu! \o/ It is starting to almost look like a cosplay more than just a pile of fabric xD
DeleteYeah, the amount of hairs Jessi left on the inside of my skirt... can't be mad at him tho <3 x)
It's fine, we all have a life xD
ReplyDeleteI'm super happy about it too, I have only a few things I need to buy and I know they're not gonna cost me too much. Super excited to keep working on this!
Since I have EVA foam lying around and shit, most likely from that.^^ I also use it for the leg armors. :)
